The Vice President of Engineering is responsible for the responsibilities listed below. Daily tasks range from documentation to full system implementations to custom solution design. The job will give the right candidate an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in a diverse and agile environment while being exposed to cutting edge systems and solutions. The role will be responsible for managing a team of 7+ engineers. This position will be the local expert in technical aspects of the sales cycle by determining customer’s requirements and addressing technical aspects to deliver a smooth implementation process.

We are a multifaceted, fast paced hardware technology company that has a few different “arms”. The Arbitech branch is responsible for buying and selling of hardware based on market conditions and product availability for end user/reseller consumption. Velasea develops OEM appliances and solutions for integrators, ISVs and end users in the Security and Surveillance vertical. Our company also has an ecommerce division as well as a gaming division producing high performance keyboards and mice. Responsibilities

· Drive the technical sales evaluation and support process for prospects and partners

· Aid in the development of client relationships

· Manage the Engineering Team for both Arbitech and Velasea

· Address customer’s questions in a comprehensive manner to ensure customer satisfaction

· Work through and solve technical implementation issues in various technical environments

· Assist Sales Team with vendor quotes and project manage those quotes through the sales process

· Coordination with Presales to manage “Marketing packages” and customer customizations

· Develop and deliver proof of concepts

· Catalog management/Documentation – Our company maintains several customers facing product catalogs. Will work with Sales and Presales teams to ensure accuracy in these catalogs.

· Custom Catalog Management / lifecycle – Engage with the OEM and Presales teams to ensure customer facing catalogs are maintained and kept to current hardware and deployment standards

· R&D / Test and Dev internally and with customers – Will work with engineering and internal IT teams to test new products and document testing procedures and outcomes. Will also be responsible for developing those testing plans.

Experience - Needed

· Batchelor’s degree and 7+ years of professional experience in Sales Engineering, Pre-sales, or technical client facing role

· 4+ years of management experience running a team of engineers

· Strong sales instinct and comfort in working with prospective clients in all stages of the sales cycle

· Deep familiarity with OS Deployments and troubleshooting installations (W10, 2019, Ubuntu)

· Component level server builds and design (Dell/Lenovo/HPE)

· Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

· Solid experience with BIOS level maintenance

· VMWare deployment / management

· Deployment of OS’s using deployment tools like SoftThinks and CloneZilla

· Documenting Bill of Materials, workflow and configuration processes

Experience - Bonus

· Network design and troubleshooting including VLANs and QoS

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Relevant certifications

· Deploying OS’s using SoftThinks, CloneZilla, etc in production environments

· Ability to relate technical topics to non-technical individuals
