** Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Drafter to fill an indefinite assignment in the Tuscaloosa, AL area.

 

This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.

 

Job Title: Drafter

Work Location:  Tuscaloosa, AL

Requirements:

 Rate:  $28.00 - $32.00

Live within or be willing to live within 30 miles of Tuscaloosa, AL

 An associate’s degree in drafting and design is preferred

 AutoDesk certified professional preferred

 This position requires 0-5 years of drafting experience

 At least a year of drafting experience - 2D AutoCAD preferred

 Experience designing road improvement projects or utility relocations a plus

 Responsibilities include working with 2D and some 3D CAD to develop models and/or 2D drawings based on information provided by designers and engineers

 Revise existing 2D drawings to support retrofit projects

 Assisting with site walkdowns to obtain field data and dimensional information for design purposes

 Skillsets and expertise required for this position include some experience using CAD software and design tools, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication, some knowledge of engineering design principles and standards, ability to support a small project, commitment to quality, safety, and design excellence, and the ability
