Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Pharmacist to join our team for a long-term care facility located in Knoxville, Tennessee. The selected candidate will work the third shift on a 7 on 7 off schedule, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients in the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy.
  • Prepare and dispense medications according to established protocols and procedures.
  • Monitor medication therapy regimens for potential interactions, contraindications, and adverse reactions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and promote medication safety.
  • Provide drug information and clinical support to healthcare staff and patients as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and complete medication records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication safety programs.

Shift:

  • Third Shift: 9:00pm - 7:00am
  • 7 on 7 off.

Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy experience.
  • LTC or retail experience a plus.
  • TN Pharmacistlicense.
