Maintenance Technician Job Description:
  • Responsible for the repair and upkeep of the facility and its machinery.
  • Perform preventative (PM) maintenance tasks on company equipment.
  • Execute timely hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical machine repairs per work orders.
  • Perform routine maintenance around the building.
  • Repair plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
  • Work on low-voltage electrical issues.
  • Perform hazardous communication audits and address potential safety hazards.
  • Practice and maintain efficient housekeeping.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to work rules, GMPs, Safety processes, procedures, and rules as well as; comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment
  • Must have own tools
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of food manufacturing experience. If no experience in food manufacturing, must have 5 years of related maintenance experience in packing machines/production machines.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills (Ability to deal tactfully and courteously/interdepartmentally as well as with co-workers and vendors)
  • Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, maintain, and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and electrical components.
  • Must be flexible to work weekends and other shifts as needed.
  • Able to work well independently, self-motivated and as a team member.
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the position requiring heavy lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying tools and supplies, kneeling, and stooping and standing on feet for long periods of time.
