Now Hiring Welder (Structural Steel)
Location: Pataskala, OH
Salary: $20-24/hr
Job Summary:
Responsible for welding structural steel members to build steel structures. Welds, cuts steel, operates grinders, drills various material and other fabrication devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and fabricate steel girders, columns, and other steel members to form buildings and other steel structures.
- Cut, position, and weld by AISC quality standards.
- Fabricate, Weld, Torch cut, Drill and Grid structural building components.
- Drill holes into steel members for bolting purposes.
- Number and mark steel according to fabrication schedule instructions and AISC quality standards. (STAMPING)
- Ability to read a tape measure is required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- No specific certificates or licenses are required for entering into this position; however, experience in the welding profession is required; specific training is substituted for experience.
- Must be able to pass 1G, Flat position, multi-pass weld test.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Experience operating with overhead cranes.
- Experience operating forklifts
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Specific Skills:
- Responsible for area housekeeping.
- Ability to effectively MIG weld with 1/16” solid wire with Argon/CO2
- Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization’s goals.
