Lead Service - Plumber

Salary Range $75k-95k

Job Summary:

• Assists with the overall operations of the Plumbing Service Division of the company.
• Assists with the oversight, scheduling and training of other Service Plumbers.
• Assists with the overall scheduling and dispatching of the daily work for the company.
• Assists with dealing and addressing all Customer Service activity for the company.
• Assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, natural gas, well water systems and drainage systems.

General Accountabilities:

• Must be able to Supervise and Lead other Plumbers and Apprentices.
• Familiar with all various facets of the Residential and Commercial Service Plumbing industry.
• Able to utilize Service Titan (or similar type program) Dispatching / Scheduling software to sell and manage all Plumbing Service Work and daily Payroll accounting.
• Strong Customer Service and Plumbing Service Sales skills required.
• Inspects structure to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from pipe installation.
• Locates and marks position of pipe and pipe connections and passage holes for pipes.
• Cuts openings in walls and floors, as needed, to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
• Cuts and threads pipe. Bends pipe to required angle.

Assembles and installs all types of plumbing fixtures, valves, pipe fittings, and pipes. Joins pipes by use of screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulks joints.

• Fills pipe system with water or air and reads pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking. Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures.
• Must be able to make good decisions that benefit the daily operations and provide support to the goals and core values of the company.
• Repairs and maintains plumbing by replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending pipes, and opening clogged drains.

Job Qualifications Education:

• Associate's degree or trade school training preferred.
• Experience: Appropriate certifications and/or licensures with 3-5 years of related experience required.
• DOT Gas Line installation Certification preferred.
• Backflow Testing and Certification preferred Valid Penna. Driver's License required.
• Able to pass pre-employment and yearly random DOT Plumber's Consortium Drug and Alcohol testing.
• Skills Strong Plumbing Service Sales Skill required.
• Customer Service Skills required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Critical thinking Judgment and decision-making skills required.
• Active listening skills required.
