We are looking to hire a skilled Auto Mechanic at our dealership located in Maitland, FL.

As an Auto Mechanic, you will primarily be responsible for maintaining and repairing vehicles. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them aiming to maximum reliability and functionality.

A qualified candidate has good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. You are well-versed in complex mechanical or electronic systems of vehicles and have excellent problem-solving abilities. You must also be good communicators to provide advice to customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Application of in-depth automotive repair knowledge
  • Providing service of the highest quality to our customers
  • Performs skilled mechanical work while analyzing and diagnosing problems
  • Inspect, replace, and/or repair defective parts while performing preventative maintenance on automobiles
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting to accurately identify and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance services in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Perform a wide range of repairs, including engine overhauls, transmission repairs, electrical system repairs, brake system repairs, and more.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to efficiently diagnose and repair vehicle systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology, advancements, and industry trends through continuous training and professional development.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced technicians, sharing your knowledge and expertise to support their growth and development.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on each repair or maintenance task.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe and clean working environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating with clients about repairs, explaining options and recommendations, and addressing any concerns or questions.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of auto service/engine diagnostic experience in a professional capacity
  • ASE Certification is preferred, but not required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to operate and drive vehicles
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an automotive technician program from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and experience working with various diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and computerized components.
  • Proficiency in using automotive repair software and technology for diagnostics and service documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and clients.
