This role involves configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting network systems, as well as implementing network policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities and Required Skills:

Network Management:

  • Configure, install, and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Monitor network performance, including availability, reliability, and response times, and address any issues as they arise.
  • Assist in planning and implementing network upgrades and expansions.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware procurement and support.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce network security measures to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Regularly update and patch network devices and systems to safeguard against vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct periodic network audits and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Troubleshooting and Support:

  • Provide technical support for network-related issues, including troubleshooting connectivity problems and resolving hardware or software conflicts.
  • Respond to and resolve network incidents and service requests in a timely manner.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on network performance, incidents, and project status.

Collaboration and Training:

  • Work closely with other IT team members and departments to ensure network infrastructure supports business operations effectively.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field of work or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or similar are preferred.

Physical Requirements:

·        Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

·        Must be able to lift 25 pounds

·        Able to travel as needed.
