Job DescriptionJob Description

At Radial, our employees are the forefront of ecommerce, bringing beloved brands to consumers through our fulfillment, customer care, and technology solutions. Radial’s omnichannel solutions use cutting-edge technology and analytics to optimize the e-commerce end-to-end processes reducing costs for our customer while enhancing the consumer experience. Radial, the leader in omnichannel commerce technologies and operations, has an exciting opening for a Buyer.

We are building a culture at Radial that leverages Procurement as a value-add framework to acquire goods and services that increases the efficiency of our operation and optimizes our end-product offering. This role requires someone who is passionate about the world of procurement and can be an effective change ambassador for contingent labor, one of Radial’s most business-critical spend categories.

The Buyer will provide guidance and procurement advice to the internal customers (operations staffing team, site directors, etc.) and the wider organization in matters related to contingent labor. The Buyer will report directly to the Category Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing

  • Contribute to Radial’s overall strategy by executing the procurement plan to achieve sourcing and cost goals
  • Implement all aspects of the category strategy, including but not limited to strategic planning, sourcing roadmap, and supplier management
  • Strategically source (sub)categories with a focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimization by utilizing a deep understanding of the business needs to collect and analyze market and spend data
  • Implement, manage, and optimize framework agreements and contracts, and execute spot buys

Supplier and Internal Relations

  • Advise and support the internal Radial customer in defining their need, budget, and plan for their purchase project
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and evaluate the existing supplier base to identify new beneficial opportunities for Radial
  • Work with the operations and workforce management team to ensure that ideal vendor/volume allocation per site is executed by local management
  • Manage supplier relationships to realize TCO optimization, and oversee the execution of supplier performance improvement plans
  • Submit requests for information (RFIs) to suppliers that present the potential to accommodate the needs of the business, and then create requests for proposals (RFPs) for short-listed suppliers that are interested and capable of meeting Radial’s needs
  • Analyze RFP responses and potential volume/ pricing changes for quantitative (financial) and qualitative impact to ensure Radial’s strategic objectives can be met
  • Assist supplier contract negotiations by identifying opportunities for improvement when cross-checking terms and offers across proposals
