QA Coordinator

Job Description:

This position is responsible for evaluating in-process and finished products while monitoring plant activities in sanitation and production, in addition to reviewing and filing documents.

Essential Duties:

• Evaluate in-process and finished products according to product specifications
• Review and file sanitation and production documents
• Document control
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Perform a pre-operational walk-through, ATP swabbing, monitor GMPs and formulate corrective action reports
• Check-in ingredients, raw materials, and packaging supplies
• Monitor rework products in quarantine
• Calibrate thermometers, scales, and refractometers
• Check plant magnet strengths
• Verify rodent control program
• Create Scholle and Parasan water
• Run solid tests on CEM and vacuum oven
• Support with the implementation of SQF regulations in the facility.
• HACCP and SQF certified – preferred but not needed.

• Support other departmental functions in Quality Control programs

Education/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two to five years experience in a food processing plant or manufacturing environment.
