Job Title: Staff Bookkeeper
Type: Full Time
Reports: Controller

Position Summary: 
MAC Productions is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable:
1.    Deposit duties – make deposits, enter into accounting system, deposit reports including accounting breakdown.
2.    Make collection calls as needed.  Report any collection problems to Controller as necessary.
3.    Maintain deposit files. 
4.    Prepare monthly Cash Receipts journals.
5.    Process all invoices out of R2 software which includes updating/researching sales tax rates and laws. 

Personnel:
1.    Process new hire personnel paperwork for new employees.  Ensure billing for employee benefits is accurate and if not, address matter with carrier.
2.    Work with Controller in maintaining employee files.

Accounts Payable:
1.    Process all vendor invoices and enter into Great Plains.
2.    Process credit card receipts.
3.    Maintain vendor files.
4.    File A/P and GL reports.
5.    Complete check runs twice a week.
6.    Maintain binders for all accounting system printouts.
7.    Process expense reports turned in by employees.
8.    Complete all R2 to GP integrations, including AR and AP entries.

Other:
1.    Issue W-9s.
2.    Complete exemption certificates as needed.
3.    Complete credit applications.
4.    Request and send certificates of insurance.
5.    Run monthly file maintenance.
6.    Maintain workers comp reports for audits.
7.    Maintain fixed asset files.
8.    Process 1099s at year end.
9.    Answer phones and receive visitors as needed.
