Crematory Operator

Seeking a certified Crematory Operator with a minimum of 2 years funeral home experience to work in the National City area. The ideal candidate will receive and process human remains according to company procedures, Federal, State and County Regulations. Part time 20-25 hours per week also considered.
Job responsibilities:
Handling of human remains in a respectful manner
Follow and comply with all company policies and procedures.
Maintain and complete all company logs/reports and satisfy all state requirements
Log in human remains upon arrival and record all movements of such.
Place human remains into the crematory to reduce them to bone fragments, bu using flame or heat at high temperatures and afterwards processing them with specialized equipment.
Keep and maintain the crematorium, equipment and surroundings in good order.
Removal of human remains, deliver and/or release of cremated remains.
Working conditions:
Capable of handling loads of 50 lbs and beyond.
Exposure to pollutants, gases, dust, fumes, odors, disease and infections are possible.
Requires the use of protective gear and clothing: safety shoes, protective glasses, gloves, hearing protection or a hard hat.
Other duties and responsibilities directed by Management.
Hours: 8.00 am to 4:30 pm including 30 minutes for lunch Monday to Friday
Training on the equipment being used will be provided.
Education/Certification:
High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of the funeral industry
Certified Crematory Operator
Valid CA driver's license
