We are seeking a safety conscious Machine Operator to join our team. 

 

Pay starts at $18.00 dollars per hour, operating on 1st shift 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday; must have flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed. Employees are eligible to enroll in our Medical, Dental, Vision, and other benefit plans after 60 days of employment.  

 

 
Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred 

  • Previous experience as a machine operator, particularly with slitting machines, is preferred 

  • Familiarity with a variety of industrial manufacturing processes and equipment is a plus 

  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance tasks on machinery 

  • Excellent attention to detail is essential 

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment 

 

 

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating slitting machines to cut materials such as paper, metal, plastic, or textiles into narrower widths or lengths as per job specifications. As a Machine Operator, you will set up and adjust machine settings including blade alignment, speed, and tension according to material type and thickness. The Machine Operator loads raw materials onto the machine, ensuring proper alignment and feeding to maintain consistent quality and prevent machine jams, monitoring the slitting process to ensure accurate cuts, proper tension, and adherence to quality standards. In addition, the Machine Operator performs visual inspections of finished products for defects or irregularities, troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime, and performs routine maintenance tasks on the machine, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts. The Machine Operator also maintains production records, including machine settings, material usage, and output quantities, and complete required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
