Busy private practice specializing in Obstetric and Gynecology in Northbrook, Illinois is looking for an Office Receptionist. The office receptionist is central to the success of our patient and practice. We are searching for a person who is able to connect and provide care to a wide range of patient personalities, and at their core, loves working with and supporting people.

  • Multi-task, quickly prioritize the immediacy of needs in front of them, while clearly and proactively communicating.
  • Greeting and welcoming patients and providing them with a positive first impression of the organization.
  • Efficiently checking patients in and out
  • Notifying other workers of patient arrival
  • Answering the telephone; taking and relaying messages providing information to patients
  • Scheduling appointments and maintaining appointment calendar
  • Documenting and communicating various actions and continuing needs
  • Preparing letters and documents
  • Maintaining patient files including pulling, sorting, and organizing

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in healthcare
  • Familiarity with insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Strong organizational skill
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
