Fertilizer Technician

The Fertilizer & Weed Control Technician is responsible for applying fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides to our commercial and residential properties. This can turn into a  full-time, year-round career opportunity that transitions into snow removal tasks in the winter.

Responsibilities:

· Identify weeds and know the techniques needed to control them.

· Monitor lawns for diseases.

· Keep accurate records of pesticides.

· Read and implement pesticide labels and mix rates/charts.

· Perform basic landscape maintenance on fertilization equipment to ensure proper and efficient operations.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

· Drivers License 

· Michigan Commercial Pesticide License 3A, 3B, & 6 – MANDATORY

· Experience driving truck and trailer.

· Basic math skills associated with accurately measuring and mixing chemicals, as well as calibrating spreader to directed application rates.

· Work independently.

· Flexible to helping in other areas of the business as needed.

· Ability to lift 50lb bags of fertilizer.
