A local company in Plant City, FL, specializing in manufacturing transfer trailers, dump trailers, and suspensions, is hiring a Forklift Operator In this role, you will be responsible for handling materials throughout the production shop while operating forklifts. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Receives, processes and verifies incoming stock materials
  • Unloads, sorts, and organizes materials in designated areas
  • Utilizes an 8-ton forklift to maneuver product inside and outside of the shop
  • Performs quality checks to ensure materials meet specified standards
  • Stores materials properly throughout the warehouse
  • Distributes and provides fabricated materials to appropriate work centers throughout the shop
  • Provides correct baskets/pallets to fabrication to ensure they load parts properly to be transported
  • Operates up to a 5-ton overhead crane and 8-ton forklift
  • Moves yard carts inside and outside of the shop, and maintains their organization
  • Relocates tractor trailers around the yard as necessary
  • Maintains a safe work area, which is properly shut down at the end of each day
  • Completes other job duties as assigned


Who We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Prior forklift and material handling experience required
  • Physically able to frequently sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit or stand for long periods of time, and lift 50+ lbs
  • Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts


What You Can Expect

  • $16.00 – $19.00/hr, depending on experience
  • Schedule of Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 4:30pm
