Responsibilities 
  • Plan games and activities that are developmentally appropriate
  • Design a daily and weekly activities schedule
  • Provide basic care: Cooking snack, lunch, dinner, diaper changing, potty training, & etc.
  • Evaluate children to ensure they are reaching developmental milestones with Brightwheel & Teachers Strategies Gold online.
  • Communicate with parents and update them on their children’s activities and required documentation for active enrollment
  • Attend in staff meeting bi-weekly to discuss program children and staffing concerns for coaching
  • Conduct bimonthly Queens Community House coaching visits
  • Conduct CACFP and DOH unannounced program inspection.
Qualifications
  • Previous a minimum of 3 years experience as a daycare teacher or childcare provider
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development
  • Patient, kind, and nurturing
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills to lead a group of 14 kids.
  • First aid/CPR certified or willing to take within 2 weeks.
  • ASS or higher in early childhood or Accredited Family Childcare CDA
