Job DescriptionJob Description

This position will be primarily focused around preparing a daily payroll for contracted logistics employees. It will then expand into other aspects of the company as needed and as fits the skills of the applicant. While this isn’t a standard accounting clerk or staff accountant position, any accounting background would obviously be welcomed. Finance or data entry backgrounds would also make for a good fit. This position will grant insight and experience into how a small business operates and provide ample opportunities for growth outside of what are often strictly defined corporate positions. In other words, we’re looking for someone to grow with us.

Primary skills – this position will require attention to detail, first and foremost. Adequate training will be provided but it is imperative that the payroll be accurate and timely each day. Applicant must be comfortable learning and navigating our logistics software, as well as having a familiarity and comfort with spreadsheets. While truly advanced excel skills are not imperative, the applicant will need to learn various excel functionalities as a bare minimum. Any additional data analytics skills would also be welcome as we work together to flush out this role in the longer term.

This hire will become a valuable resource for both our operations and sales teams and once acquainted with the payroll process, take on additional duties. Some of these will come from our CFO and Safety Director, helping them to handle information flow. Some of these will involve researching questions from customers and team members alike. There will be room for this position to innovate and find a niche for themselves, along with providing further value to their coworkers and the company at large.
