Scheduler - Biologist

We have an immediate opportunity for a Biological Scheduler. This position requires a self-starter, detailed oriented, ability to meet deadlines, and have a background in biology. This is a remote position. California biological experience only.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Attend weekly meeting and lead team meetings virtually.
• Update trackers with high attention to detail.
• Closely monitor inboxes daily, especially with rush requests.
• QAQCs draft emails to subs for surveys and monitoring, to construction team, and client as needed.
• Ability to track progress and communicate all updates to team.
• Responsible for sending emails to subs to book biologist, assign team members as needed and update trackers.
• Review survey results and send clearance information to construction daily. Ability to interpret results and elevate when needed.
• Leads the team in prioritizing work and ability to delegate task throughout the day.
• Train and onboard required staff.
• Provide internal reporting of stats and metrics to Project Manager.
• Update internal guidance documents.
• Stay current with NBS guidance and other bio related matters relevant to construction projects.
• Weekend work (more frequent during nesting bird and woodpecker season).
• Answer calls and texts from field staff.
• Review and send survey results with 24 hours of survey completion and collaborate with other team members on various projects.

 

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science, Environmental Studies, or related fields
• Two plus years of biological monitoring or scheduling experience
• Proficiency using Microsoft Suite to include Excel and SmartSheet
