Summary:

The Material Handler will provide material movement and logistical support to internal and external customers to support Badger Color Concentrates, Inc. manufacturing during process transfers, routine production, and technology improvements supporting manufacturing operations.

 

 

Essential Duties:

· Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, reports shortages, ensures efficient and effective material movements, and accurately recording inventory locations.

· Ensure incoming material is labeled per the Shipping & Receiving SOP and Work Instructions.

· Ensure inventory is maintained using FIFO practices.

· Consolidate incoming and existing inventory for best-fit practices.

· Ensure materials are efficiently stacked and stored safely in their designated areas.

· Prepare and stage transfer requests to ship to designated locations.

· Perform daily cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy. Investigate any anomalies or inconsistencies.

· Maintain material handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs as necessary.

· Aid production by staging and organizing packaging needs.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

· Performs other related duties as requested.

 

 

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· 4-year degree preferred, or a combination of work experience and education will be considered.

· Experience with computerized inventory systems is required.

· Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in the associated functional area.

· Forklift operator certification is preferred.

· Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers and the purchasing department.

· Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.

· Prior experience working with Inventory Management Systems.

· Experience with KPIs and Metrics Management.

· Proficient keyboarding skills.

· Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
