Position Overview: As a Fitter Welder, you will play a key role in our fabrication process by accurately fitting and welding metal components to create finished products that meet our clients' specifications. Your expertise in welding techniques and attention to detail will ensure the structural integrity and aesthetic appeal of our fabricated products.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to fabricate metal components according to project requirements.
  • Measure, cut, and fit metal pieces together using various tools and equipment, ensuring precise alignment and assembly.
  • Weld metal components together using MIG, TIG, or stick welding techniques, adhering to welding codes and standards.
  • Inspect welded joints for quality and accuracy, making any necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with team members, including engineers and fabricators, to optimize production processes and resolve any fabrication issues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and procedures at all times.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a fitter welder or similar role in metal fabrication.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques and processes, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
  • Ability to operate welding equipment and tools safely and effectively.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
