Job DescriptionJob Description

Hourly Pay Rate: $20/hr to $25/hr

We're currently seeking a shipping and receiving clerk for a leading equipment/machinery manufacturer for the food industry in Lake Forest, IL. You'll play a vital role in packaging orders, receiving incoming shipment, maintain parts inventory, including stocking shelves, organizing bins, and binning new parts.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in machining, sheet metal, fabrication, and assembly environments.
  • Must be able to operate a pallet jack at a minimum
    • Forklift driving is a plus
  • Experience working with skids & unloading them.
  • Proficient in reading a measuring tape
  • Basic understanding of ERP/MRP software – they use Global Shop, but any kind is fine
  • basic understanding of ERP/MRP software.
  • Must know how to measure, using tape measure and caliper.
  • Familiar w/ PC's.
  • Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities:

  • Package orders to ship
  • Receive incoming shipments
  • Kitting cart management and organization
  • Pull parts from stock and place on carts
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Read, interpret and follow basic drawings, diagrams, Engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately organize equipment and products
  • Perform related duties as needed by supervision
