We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Long Term Care Pharmacist to join our dynamic team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This full-time position offers a unique work schedule of 7 consecutive night shifts followed by 7 days off, providing a great balance for those looking for an alternative to the traditional workweek. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a long-term care setting, overseeing the medication dispensing process, and ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, prepare, and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals and counseling patients on drug therapies.
  • Develop pharmacological knowledge by participating in clinical programs and maintaining an awareness of industry trends.
  • Manage medication therapy protocols and participate in the care planning process with other health care providers.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration.
  • Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies, and appropriateness of drug and dose.
  • Provide oversight and management of pharmacy staff during shift.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protect patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols.

Shift:

  • Third Shift:8:00pm - 7:00am

  • 7 on 7 off

Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy experience.
  • New Mexico Pharmacist License.
