REPORTS TO:

  • Works under the Supervision of Operations Product Line Manager and/or Operations Service Manager.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises Field Operator Level 3 and lower levels on jobs as directed.

SUMMARY:                                                                                                                                                             

  • Responsible for assigned WPCE functions to ensure continuous production consistent with established standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:                                                                                                                                                

  • Has a strong well applications knowledge of well operations that has equipment utilized in WPCE application for all type of operations as well as the equipment and service interface with other service entities involved.
  • Has the ability to understand complex directions and procedures developed and ability to participate in development of same with the client and/or lower level field service operators.
  • Ability to lead and oversee all phases of the well operation and understand the priorities of the tasks required to meet projected deadlines and achieve expected results for WPCE services provided on customer locations.
  • Understands and can audit, explain and/or supervise others in adjustment of all equipment components as to settings, readings, and proper functionality being correct and within the assigned parameters of the equipment and the well conditions.
  • Strong problem solving and trouble-shooting ability concerning equipment, processes and well related issues.
  • Ability to provide solutions for the successful resolution and flow of the job.
  • Provides high level of training, guidance, and leadership in the WPCE equipment and services to less experienced personnel in accordance with OEM and OTJ opportunities.
  • Participates and complies with Covenant and Client HSE Programs, observes safe working practices and all safety rules and regulations during the course of the job as well as making sure that all others on the job do the same.
  • Required to have thorough understanding of and auditing of all required documentation assigned on a job in the field including but not limited to JSEA’s, behavior-based observation cards, near miss documentation, and incident reports, data sheets and work log as may apply.
  • Communicates professionally and effectively with Covenant Testing Technologies employees, the client representative, third-party services companies in all necessary planning, pre and post job meetings, on-site discussions and represents to the public at large, a positive image of Covenant Testing Technologies.
  • Participates in auditing, monitoring, directing and supervision in all rig up/rig down operations and equipment maintenance on well site as well as at facility as instructed or needed .               

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:                                                                                                                                                          

  • Mechanical – Strong Working knowledge of machines and tools, including design, uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Mathematics – Strong understanding of basic math and calculations, measurements and fractions and know how to access and utilize industry provided conversion charts and reference materials.
  • Computer Skills- Will have computer skills sufficient to learn to work with company timekeeping system and other accessible programs as needed.
  • Customer service – Strong knowledge of and ability to providing customer service in regards to conduct, attitude and successful job execution either directly or indirectly.
  • Safety – Knowledge, adherence to and enforcement of policies and procedures and strategies to promote safe operations
  • Capable of logical thinking and reasoning to help identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems with supervisory and more senior personnel on location.
  • Problem sensitivity – The ability to sense when something is wrong or likely to go wrong and to communicate same.
  • Dependability - Will be punctual and reliable in regards to execution of all phases of the job tasks.
  • Attention to detail - Careful and thorough in completing work and communicating with customers and co-workers.
  • Communication - The ability to read or listen and understand information being presented, and the ability as well to speak or write to convey information effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure - Effectively deal with constraints, changes and problems to accomplish work goals.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in similar work within the industry preferred and/or experience as a Level 3 Operator.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Class A CDL drivers license is required and must maintain a clean driving record.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the U.S.
  • Must pass and maintain a client required random drug tests.
  • Must pass a background investigation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :                                                                                                                                        

  • Employee will be exposed to outdoor weather elements, high noise pollution, and the potential for chemical and/or fumes or gas exposure. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:                                                                                                                                                            

  • Ability to stand continuously.
  • Ability to kneel, squat, push/pull, reach (including overhead), grasp/squeeze and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to climb stairs/ladders and walk occasionally.
  • Ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.

LOCATION/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This job may require the employee to travel to various regions throughout the state or other states for extended work periods.
  • This job may require the employee to work for extended periods within a shop or yard type environment.
