Group Fitness Instructor

We are seeking a Group Fitness Instructor to join our team
As a group fitness instructor, you will juggle multiple tasks simultaneously. Some of your responsibilities include demonstrating proper form, instructing safe exercise techniques, motivating participants, and delivering an exceptional workout experience.
You will need to be an effective communicator, ensuring that everyone understands the instructions clearly. Additionally, tailoring your approach to accommodate different fitness levels within your class is crucial. Building a supportive and energetic environment will help participants feel encouraged and engaged.
Beyond the physical aspects, your role includes nurturing a sense of community. This involves recalling participants' names, acknowledging their achievements, and cultivating a friendly environment. Additionally, it is important to your role to understand you will engage in discussions regarding sales and memberships. While our primary goal is to assist individuals in reaching their health and wellness objectives, we are also a business that must operate to further our mission and support our community.
- Responsibilities:
- Instruct groups of individuals in fitness activities
- Offer support to help clients achieve their fitness goals
- Demonstrate proper form and technique
- Develop and implement specialized training programs for clients
- Ensure fitness programs are effective, safe, and fun
- Adhere to the start and end times, intensity and description of each class/session or format based on the class schedule and varying levels of participants in each class/session.
- Teach said classes and/or private sessions on a regular schedule that is introduced monthly and limit subbing. When seeking a substitute, always ensure all subs have been contacted by you directly before reaching out to Management for their assistance in finding a substitute.
- Arrive 15 minutes prior to class/session and leave 15 minutes following class/session. During this time, you will educate prospective and Introductory Package Clients on the studio’s formats and offerings; assist in the booking of additional class times and packages for current clients and engage all clients with our studio’s systems.
- Build attendance and retention of clients through direct client interaction.
- Work directly with Management by communicating feedback, maintenance issues, substitution changes and requests, and scheduling.
- Attend mandatory meetings with Management.
Qualifications:
- Hold and maintain current CPR/AED certifications
- Previous experience as a trainer, group fitness instructor or in other related fields
- Ability to train at all fitness levels
- Passion for health and fitness
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Be engaging, outgoing and eager to get to know the members
Shift Times:
- M-F, 5am-7am
- M-F, 8am-10:30am
- M-Th, 4pm-6:30pm, F, 4pm-5:30pm
- Required to work at least 1 Saturday a month- 8:30am-10am
