About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Security Analyst 3 to join our Office of Information Security. You will play a pivotal role in planning, implementing, and monitoring security measures to protect our information assets. This position offers the opportunity to lead a technical team, develop and enforce security policies, and work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enforce comprehensive security policies and procedures.
- Implement security measures to protect against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction of data.
- Assist with integration of security protocols seamlessly into operational processes.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and governmental regulations, including IRS Publication 1075 and various NIST frameworks.
- Actively monitor infrastructure and systems for potential security threats.
- Manage and utilize security tools and technologies such as VPNs, firewalls, SIEM, and endpoint security solutions.
- Work closely with end-users, IT managers, staff, and vendors.
- Develop and deliver security awareness and training programs.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on security posture to senior management.
- Supervise and guide technical security team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 6 years in information technology, with at least 2 years focused on information security or information assurance.
- Hands-on experience with at least two or more security technologies such as Vulnerability Management, Penetration Testing, Email Security, EDR, MFA, SIEM, IPS, and Firewalls.
- Experience with security tools and technologies including VPNs, Firewalls, Tenable, Splunk, and Wireshark.
- Knowledge and experience with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, including services such as WatchGuard, GuardDuty, and Identity & Access Management (IAM).
Certifications
- Possession of one or more industry-recognized certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, or relevant SANS certifications.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in endpoint security, network monitoring, intrusion detection, web server security, and wireless security.
- Practical experience in systems administration, vulnerability management, endpoint management, and email security operations.
Additional Information:
- Background Check: A comprehensive background check will be conducted on all candidates considered for the position. Candidates must be compliant with Georgia tax obligations. Individuals with overdue and unpaid taxes or any felony convictions will not be eligible for employment.
- Fingerprinting: All employees will be required to undergo fingerprinting as part of the hiring process.
- Local Candidates: Candidates must be local to the Metro Atlanta area.
