Our company is seeking two Diesel Mechanics to join our Team This role focuses on heavy repair and overhauling diesel locomotive engines and components. While this role focuses on diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, our ideal candidate is also comfortable working as a technician who can diagnose and trouble shoot. Tools and training provided but candidates need to have general knowledge of how an engine works. We are big on Teamwork, willing to train and strive to always have a safe work environment. Applicants need a valid driver's license and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Diagnose and repair issues in diesel engines
  • Read Gauges- micrometer, calipers, bore gauges, etc. (training available)
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace
  • Diesel technician or mechanic degree a plus
  • Experience with large diesel engine repair a plus
  • Some acetylene torch experience 
  • Mechanical skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Able to drive a forklift a plus
  • Overhead Crane experience a plus
  • Able to safely lift 50 to 75 lbs.
  • High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license
