The CAD Operator 1 is an entry level resource to Fry Reglet’s Project Management Team to assist with providing the customer reliable and value added engineering drawings fully illustrating the project requirements. The purpose of the CAD Operator is to provide effective communication of the project requirements through the use of drawings, bills of materials, renderings, etc to ensure the PM Team has the necessary information to complete a successful project.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

·        Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements.

·        Copy detailed plans and drawings and perform routine, simple drafting assignments.

·        Drafting, editing, and finalizing design plans and details using appropriate and efficient methods.

·        Interact with other Engineering team members and adjacent departments to achieve positive results.

·        Perform work under the supervision of an experienced team member.

·        Review multiple engineering project drawing packages to gain a working knowledge of all manufacturing processes and products.

Experience and Skills:

·        Must be a self-starter, well organized, and has strict attention to detail.

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

·        Ability to perform scaling and layer management.

Qualifications:

·        Associates Degree in Drafting/Design, Bachelor’s degree a plus.

·        Two to three years experience in sheet metal and/or extruded framing a plus.

·        Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor (2018 or higher), and 3D Design.

·        Ability to interpret architectural, mechanical, and/or structural drawings and details.
