We are currently searching for an Accounting Assistant to join our team to support our Charter School Practice. The Accounting Assistant performs duties for clients including, but not limited to:

Essential Functions

Invoicing

·Collect and Input All Invoices for Department

·Process Vendor Credits

·Reconcile Vendor Accounts

·Vendor Statement Reviews

·Client Contact for All Accounts Payables Questions

·Process Monthly, Semi-Monthly and Weekly Check Runs

·Reconcile Expense Reimbursements

·Maintain Cash Flow Worksheets for Daily Cash Management

·Process Ad-Hoc Manual Checks by Request

 

Vendor Maintenance

·Keep Accurate Records of Sales Tax Exempt Certificates

·Maintain Vendor W9 Files

·Collect and Retain Vendor Contracts

·Maintain Insurance Policies Declarations and Renewals

 

Audits

·Process Annual 1099s

·Aid in Audit Requests

·Proper Management of Cancelled Checks

·Collect and Review Board Resolutions for Out of Budget Expenditures

 

ADHOC

·Perform all Public Records Requests

·Track and Pay Board Stipends for Meeting Attendance

·Monthly Credit Card Reconciliations

·Prepare Semi-Annual Budgets, as requested

· Prepare Financial Statements, as requested

 

Education & Experience Required

·3+ Years of Relative Work Experience or Education

·Knowledge of Accounting and Bookkeeping Best Practices

· Knowledge of QuickBooks and Bill.com preferred

·Must be Able to Effectively Handle Multiple Projects Simultaneously in a Deadline Driven

Environment

·Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team to Achieve the Goals of the Organization

·Ability to Analyze Processes and Recommend Efficiencies to Implement.

·Computer Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Specifically Excel

·Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills
