Duties/Responsibilities of the Superintendent :

  • Supervise, plan, organize and control all on site resources and logistics for the successful execution of a construction project.
  • Responsible for job set up, ensuring all necessary project equipment, documents and signage are on site and displayed properly.
  • Create 2 week lookaheads and manage primary schedules,
  • Prepare, daily and weekly project record and reports utilizing Procore Construction Management Software.
  • Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to plans and specifications and adherence to construction schedules. Stopping and re-mediating all work that does not comply.
  • Expediting and coordinating the work of the subcontractors’ field forces.
  • Hold and chair weekly subcontractor meetings regarding safety, sequencing, expediting coordination of the project, and keeping written minutes.
  • Assist the Project Manager with the buyout and selection of major subcontractors.
  • Monitor cost and job costing, forecasting and productivity.
  • Enforce GCG safety manual, site specific safety program, or OSHA standards, whichever is more stringent.
  • Report to and advise all construction activities to project manager and company owners.

Requirements/Qualifications of the Superintendent :

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Commercial Project Superintendent for a General Contractor.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, PROCORE, MS PROJECT, and BlueBeam.
  • Outstanding communication skills for all members of the team including the customer, coworkers, management, design professionals, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Detail oriented mindset with a positive "can-do" attitude.
  • Committed to superior customer service.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
