Position Title: Shop Estimator

Location: Houma, LA

Reporting to: Production & Process Strategy Manager

Salary Range: $50k - $65k – Depending on Experience

Essential Functions

The Shop Estimator is responsible for looking at all expenses incurred with manufacturing a product. The Shop Estimator receives authority from and reports to the Production & Process Strategy Manager.

Role and Responsibilities

Candidate’s minimum skills and experiences.

· Determine estimated product costs based on supplier quotes, labor costs, inventory items, and other expenses incurred.

· Must have basic knowledge of oilfield machine work.

· Must have basic knowledge of Oil Country Tubular Goods (Casing / Tubing)

· Basic knowledge of data entry.

· Experience with Microsoft Office package.

· Must be able to communicate and coordinate with Technical Sales, Purchasing and Machine Shop within the estimating process.

· Must be able to take verbal and written instructions.

· Must have a strong attention to detail.

· Strong organizational skills, capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to adapt as the company grows and changes.

· Adhere to Company Safety, Environmental, and Personnel Policies.

Qualifications:

At least one year of college or a Technical or Vocational school background is required.

Self-directed, independent, detail-oriented, and highly motivated.

Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and written.

Strong organizational and computer skills

Ability to multitask in fast-paced team environment with a focus on overall quality.

Exposure to manufacturing operations preferred.
