Pride Health is seeking candidates for a Certified Pharmacy Technician opening that would support our client's healthcare systems in Edison, NJ This is a 13-weeks contract assignment with high possibility of extension

Pay rate: $50/hr

Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM OR 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM every other weekend.

Duties: The Certified Ambulatory Technician provides support for the registered pharmacist in the preparation and distribution of medications and who works under the immediate personal supervision of a pharmacist.

  • Prepares medication orders under the oversight of a registered pharmacist.
  • Assists the pharmacist in the maintenance of adequate drug supplies in filling areas and gives notification regarding the need to reorder supplies.
  • Assures that the filling areas maintained in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Refers requests for drug information to a registered pharmacist.
  • Assists the pharmacist in maintaining the security of medication and supplies.
  • Provides appropriate documentation wherever and whenever required.
  • Assists in maintaining patient medication profiles and records.
  • Assist with receiving, filling, and selling of prescriptions.
  • Checks stock for expired unusable and excessive items.

Skills: Ambulatory experience with knowledge of medications.

Minimum Degree Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Note: 2 Years of hospital Experience highly preferred.
