Construction Superintendent

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will oversee day-to-day construction operations, coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and vendors, and ensure project milestones are met without compromising on quality and safety. Your depth of understanding in construction planning and blueprint reading, along with excellent leadership skills, will be essential for the successful execution of projects.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities

1. Expertise in Blueprint Interpretation: Possess in-depth knowledge in understanding and interpreting construction plans and blueprints.
2. Project Planning: Capable of utilizing Microsoft Project to create and maintain an effective 3-week look-ahead schedule.
3. Resource Coordination: Skillfully schedule and manage subcontractors, consultants, and vendors, ensuring timely project completion.
4. Quality Control: Actively engage in quality control processes to ensure all work complies with industry standards.
5. Communication and Reporting: Efficiently communicate with project team regarding ASI's, RFI's, and material submittals.
6. Compliance Management: Ensure subcontractors fulfill their scope of work in compliance with contractual obligations.
7. Local Jurisdiction Liaison: Coordinate essential inspections with relevant local jurisdictions.
8. Safety and Environmental Standards: Monitor subcontractor compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
9. Conflict Resolution: Identify and resolve any conflicts or deviations from project plans in consultation with the project team.
10. Documentation: Meticulously maintain a daily activity log via Procore.
11. Inventory Management: Track supplies and materials to mitigate loss and ensure timely order and delivery.
12. Team Coordination: Conduct weekly meetings with subcontractors to foster teamwork and project cohesion.
13. Site Management: Ensure that the construction site is safe, clean, and organized at all times.
14. Project Completion: Oversee job progress and complete punch list tasks efficiently.

Skills and Qualifications

• Software Proficiency: Experience with Procore, PlanSwift, and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
