Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a Warehouse Tugger Operator to join our Fortune 500 team in North Charleston, South Carolina. As a Warehouse Tugger Operator you will assist in supporting Boeing’s recycling effort. This is mostly outside in all elements (hot, cold, and rain) and a labor intensive position with a lot of lifting empty boxes over your head, walking and standing.

Hours/Pay:

  • 1st Shift 4am-1:30pm Monday-Friday
  • Pay rate: $16/hr, to be hired on a higher rate

Overview and Qualifications

  • Gathering and sorting various types of material for recycling throughout the plant.
  • May be required to drive a tugger around the plant.
  • Working on the sorting line, sorting cardboard from other materials for recycling. The sorting line requires standing, walking and climbing stairs.
  • Work with another team member(s) breaking down and baling large cardboard boxes and baling plastic tray and plastic sheeting.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Receives and processes incoming and outgoing orders.
  • Verifies contents of orders against tickets or receipts.
  • Sorts packages according to appropriate distribution channels.
  • Pulls orders from the warehouse.
  • Maintains work area in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
  • Must be able to stand and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Will be trained on both warehouse and janitorial duties.
