Job Description

  • Provide excellence in services of young children in home, day care or community settings that meet Early Intervention requirements.
  • Services need to reflect an accurate estimate of the child's functioning and be written well according to the most current Early Intervention standards.
  • Services and paperwork need to be accurate and must align with the findings of other team members. Any differences or inconsistencies between reports must be addressed adequately with the team and in the reports. Work well with children and families throughout the EIP process.
  • Provide parent carry-over activities.
  • Provide quality assurance functions including services, critique and feedback as needed.
  • Prepare and submit all paperwork timely

Qualifications

  • Required Valid and Current Registration Certificate OR License (1 minimum):
    • New York State Certified Special Education Teacher (Permanent)
    • Teacher of Students with Disabilities (Birth-Grade 2)
    • New York State Licensed Physical Therapist
    • New York State Licensed Occupational Therapist
    • New York State Licensed Speech Therapist
    • New York State Speech and Language Pathologist-Clinical Fellow Year (CFY)
    • New York State Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
    • New York State Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
  • Requirement:
    • Monolingual or Bilingual (Spanish preferred, other languages are highly recommended to apply)
    • Submission of a sample evaluation is required in order to be considered for this position.
      • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
      • Must be attentive to detail.
      • Complete all paperwork accurately and timely.
      • Willing and able to submit evaluation electronically.
      • Knowledge of word processing and basic internet skills.
      • Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required.
      • Full-Time: Make your own hours however, at least 1 evening and weekend availability.
