Job Summary: The compounder is responsible for blending, mixing, and preparing batches in accordance to written specifications/procedures provided by the Director of Operations.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Prepare and process batches in accordance with established specifications and procedures. This includes; cleaning and sanitizing all required chemical processing equipment, pipes, pumps and tanks. Staging and transferring chemical raw materials. Preparing and operating chemical compounding equipment. Transferring batches.

  • Follow written procedures to ensure that all documentation for manufacturing records and logbooks are accurately completed and in accordance with GMP.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of compliance with hazardous material handling and personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Ensure compounding area is maintained in a clean and well-organized state
  • Operate and troubleshoot chemical processing equipment such as mixers, pumps, scales, heating and cooling systems. Request equipment maintenance as needed.
  • Perform duties in support of filling and packaging operations, including interacting and communicating with filling line personnel to ensure that all filling and packaging needs are met as they relate to compounding

· Review and follows safety regulations for all equipment and work area.

· Use a variety of hand and power tool equipment (including a forklift or hand jack) to perform material handling duties.

· Handle multiple projects and prioritize work efficiently.

· Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction.

· Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Must pass company’s skill assessment
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Customer focused
  • Must be flexible in dealing with others in the organization, and with work assignments/projects
  • Must have strong math skills
  • Self-organized, self-motivated; ability to work independent of supervision
  • Must work well with others

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Able to lift a minimum of 65 lbs. and push/pull 400lbs.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to work in an Industrial Environment
