Are you ready to shift into the next gear of your career? As Manufacturing Engineer within Inalfa you are in the driver’s seat for developing or improving new designs for equipment and fixtures to assemble automotive sunroof modules and roof systems. You will be tasked with ensuring that the manufacturing process conforms to all Inalfa Roof Systems specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Support all engineering change activities impacting the manufacturing process.
- Perform line balancing and labor evaluation activities
- Support all QS 9000 requirements
- Ensure all manufacturing documentation is accurate and up to date
- Champion manufacturing cost reduction activities, including labor reduction initiatives
- Inform quality engineering of any suspect of out of specification components
- Assist maintenance in set-up and improvement upon preventative maintenance plans
- Perform basic ergonomic analysis as required
- Help insure that all employees enjoy the safest possible working environment
- Support the improved efficiency of the manufacturing facility
- Support the improved first time capability of the manufacturing process
- Assist DOE projects as necessary
- Oversee PER builds through the manufacturing process
- Oversee DFM/DFA analysis
- Support all CIP activities
- Assist Kaizen activities as appropriate
- Reduce WIP
- Maintain one piece flow
- Visual management
- etc.
- Apply Theory of Constraints through all plant wide activities

IATF 16949/ ISO14001 / ISO 45001 RESPONSIBILITIES:
The IATF16949and ISO14001 responsibilities listed below are required for this position. Adhere to all IATF16949 (Quality) / ISO14001 (Environmental) / ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) procedures as related to the operations department function.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four-year college or university with emphasis in Engineering and Manufacturing related field; 0-3 years hands on experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experienced in DFA, process design, build and launch, AQP, troubleshooting, continuous improvement.
- Process failure modes and effects analysis experience.
- Background in line balancing a plus.
- Previous machine design and build experience.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills needed.
- Must be computer literate, preferably Microsoft Office and Windows.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Good communication skills, both written and oral
Advanced PC skills
AutoCAD experience
