HVAC Controls Engineer

Entry level Mechanical/HVAC Controls System Engineer position available in the Cincinnati area for a recent graduate with an interest in building automation systems/HVAC temperature controls.  The candidate for this office-based position will be responsible for the design of building automation systems using project drawings and specifications provided by the sales team.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·         Receives project specifications and job requirements from sales team and designs automation systems

·         Analyze plans, construction documents and local codes to determine project requirements

·         Selects products to provide the most cost effective solutions for the company/customer

·         May be required to create unique design solutions to meet customer requirements

·         Designs building automation network architecture to work with operator workstations, field panels and third party devices (LON and BACnet)

·         Helps prepare submittals, drawings, schedules, sequences of operations, DDC points lists and product data to operations department for submission and approval

·         Technical resource for the internal and external customer

·         Oversees the creation of system graphics

·         May be required to attend walk-thru’s and project meetings

·         May preform some field activities as required

 

Qualifications include:

·         Bachelor’s Degree preferred or Associate’s Degree in ME or MET, or related field will be considered

·         Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD required

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Self-starter, able to manage priorities independently
