As a Sales Trainer at Laser Photonics, you will play a pivotal role in imparting in-depth product knowledge, industry expertise, and effective sales strategies to our sales team. Summary:
The Sales Training Manager is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs to enhance the skills and performance of sales teams. This role involves creating engaging training materials, conducting interactive sessions, and providing ongoing coaching to improve sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service. The Sales Trainer collaborates closely with sales leaders to identify training needs, assess performance gaps, and implement effective training strategies to drive sales success.
Responsibilities:
Product Knowledge Enhancement:
- Keep training materials current with the latest advancements in laser technology and product updates.
- Collaborate with the product development team to stay informed about upcoming releases and new features.
Sales Technique Refinement:
- Provide specialized training on sales techniques specific to the laser industry, including consultative selling, technical selling, and relationship-building strategies.
- Conduct mock sales scenarios to enhance negotiation skills and objection handling related to laser technology.
Application-Specific Training:
- Tailor training programs to address the diverse applications of Laser Photonics systems, such as manufacturing, medical, defense, and research.
- Collaborate with industry experts to incorporate real-world examples and case studies into training modules.
Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze sales performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement within the market.
- Implement targeted training initiatives to address specific challenges and capitalize on market opportunities.
Sales Enablement Technology:
- Ensure the sales team is proficient in using sales enablement tools specific to the industry.
- Provide guidance on utilizing CRM systems effectively for managing sales opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Substantial experience in sales, preferably within the laser technology or photonics industry.
- 7+ Experience with instructional design and adult learning methodologies.
- Proficiency in using training software, learning management systems (LMS), and multimedia tools.
- Proven experience as a Sales Trainer or similar role in a sales-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of sales principles, techniques, and best practices.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging and effective training materials and presentations.
- Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets for technologically advanced products. Previous experience as a Sales Trainer in a technical or scientific field.
- In-depth knowledge of technology, applications, and market trends.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information in an accessible manner.
- Results-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
- Certification in training, coaching, or sales (e.g., ATD, CPLP, CPTM, SPIN Selling) is a plus.
