The Industrial Maintenance Technician will play a critical role in minimizing downtime, optimizing equipment performance, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Equipment Maintenance and Repair:

    • Perform preventive maintenance tasks and conduct routine inspections on machinery, equipment, and systems to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
    • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime and production disruptions.
    • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery components as needed.
  2. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:

    • Analyze equipment malfunctions and identify root causes of failures using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
    • Develop troubleshooting strategies and implement corrective actions to address recurring issues and prevent future breakdowns.
    • Collaborate with production personnel and engineering teams to resolve technical problems and optimize equipment reliability.
  3. Safety and Compliance:

    • Participate in safety training programs and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members.

  4. Documentation and Record-Keeping:

    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory of spare parts.
    • Document equipment modifications, upgrades, and repairs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facilitate future maintenance tasks.
  5. Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements in equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean manufacturing projects, to enhance overall equipment effectiveness and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Technical diploma or certification in industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial controls, PLCs, and automation systems preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
