Commercial Carpenter

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Commercial Carpenter who will be responsible for the full range of rough and finished skilled carpentry work.

Work from drawings, specifications, and instructions to design, build, remodel, retrofit, maintain, and repair various types of facilities and structures.

Adhere to specifications, requirements, applicable building codes, safety codes and regulations.

The following are key duties:

• Constructs, remodels, retrofits and repairs interior and exterior structures made of a variety of materials.
• Follow drawings, specs, and building plans to meet the needs of the clients.
• Performs the installation of:
• Interior, load-bearing, and prefabricated metal stud framing
• Various types of building insulation
• Interior and exterior drywall sheathing
• Drywall trims and corners
• Acoustical Ceiling systems
• Designed fire rated building assemblies
• Doors, Frames, and Hardware
• Various General Trades scope of work
• Floor coverings as required
• Use of a variety of different hand and power tools to cut and fabricate metal, wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall. Commonly used hand tools include squares, levels, hammers, pry bars, hole saws, clamps.
• Use of many power tools such as impact screw guns, grinders, circular saws, chop saws, drills, and PAF equipment.
• Ability to work from scaffolding, ladders, scissor lifts, and man basket lifts.
• Stocks and cleans up work area and equipment when job is completed.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Must have reliable transportation to report to different job sites as assigned.
