We are seeking a Medical Assistant who is an excellent phlebotomist.

This individual must be able to travel at least one week per month and is

comfortable going to private homes when required. Polished and presentable at

all times, representing the Center.

Essential Functions

  • Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, obtain necessary client information and maintain lab records
  • Assist with high-volume processing and laboratory services
  • Handle billing process
  • Prepare clients for examination (vitals)
  • Set-up EKG machines, administer injections and medications and perform routine specimen collection and tests
  • Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments
  • Assist physician with medical treatments, procedures, and exams
  • Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies

Qualifications For Medical Assistant

  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant certification program
  • At least three years of phlebotomy experience
  • Must be willing and able to travel (overnights) at least one week per month
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • A firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
  • Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
