Job DescriptionJob Description

firstPro is seeking an HR specialist with payroll experience to join a great team in the Alpharetta area. Pay is 60k and works 5 days a week in office.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Human Resources:
    • Assist with the recruitment process, including screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new hires.
    • Maintain employee files and ensure all HR paperwork is accurate and up-to-date.
    • Process employee terminations and leaves of absence.
    • Provide administrative support to HR initiatives and projects.
    • Stay up-to-date on employment laws and regulations.
    • Act as a first point of contact for employees with HR-related questions.
  • Payroll:
    • Collect, review, and process payroll data, including timesheets and leave requests.
    • Calculate gross pay, deductions, and net pay for all employees.
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including direct deposits and tax filings.
    • Maintain payroll records and reports.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies.
    • Stay informed of federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in HR and/or payroll administration.
  • Strong understanding of HR and payroll principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
