We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FCC Certification Engineer to join our dynamic team at Radiometrics Midwest Corp. As an EMC Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients’ products comply with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our clients’ products meet all Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulatory requirements. This role involves extensive testing, documentation, and coordination with various teams to achieve and maintain FCC certification for their products.

Your expertise will be instrumental in designing, testing, and troubleshooting electronic systems to minimize emissions and electromagnetic interference (EMI) and ensure optimal performance across various environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the FCC certification process for new and existing products.
  • Conduct and oversee FCC testing, including RF exposure, EMC, and SAR testing.
  • Prepare and submit FCC certification applications and related documentation.
  • Liaise with certification bodies, and regulatory agencies.
  • Review product designs and provide recommendations to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FCC regulations and standards.
  • Design and develop EMC test plans and procedures for new products and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve compliance-related issues promptly.
  • Conduct electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing and analysis according to industry standards (e.g., FCC, CISPR, IEC, SAE, RTCA).
  • Collaborate with design engineers to implement EMC considerations throughout the product development.
  • Identify and resolve EMC issues through root cause analysis and design modifications.
  • Maintain documentation related to EMC compliance and testing results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in EMC testing and compliance, preferably in a product development environment.
  • Familiarity with EMC standards and regulations (e.g., FCC Part 15, CISPR, IEC 61000 series).
  • Proficiency in EMC measurement equipment and software tools (e.g., spectrum analyzers, EMC chambers, EMI receivers).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
