Warehouse Specialist - Military Aviation Equipment Job Overview

 

Air Source One Aerospace is in need of a full-time Warehouse Specialist - Military Aviation Equipment to join our team. You will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the warehouse and maintaining the standards within the Air Source One Aerospace warehouse Department. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Warehouse Associate, preferably with a strong background in military aviation equipment.

 

Location: Air Source One Aerospace Headquarters | 141 Duke St. Forest City, NC 28043

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $15-$17/Hr, with room for growth and advancement with positive performance.

 

Job Description:

The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for managing and maintaining inventory, handling and processing military aviation equipment, and ensuring the efficient operation of the warehouse. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, familiarity with aviation parts and equipment, and adherence to strict safety and regulatory standards. Previous military experience, particularly in aviation, is highly desirable.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and store military aviation equipment and parts.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records.
  • Handle, package, and ship aviation equipment in compliance with industry standards.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Ensure proper labeling and documentation of all inventory.
  • Follow and enforce safety procedures and protocols.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to manage stock levels and order supplies.
  • Assist in the maintenance and organization of the warehouse.
  • Perform quality control checks and report any discrepancies or damages.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall operations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong background of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in aviation or logistics is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a warehouse, preferably with military aviation equipment.
  • Previous military experience, especially in aviation logistics or supply chain, is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation parts, equipment, and industry standards.
  • Proficient in the use of warehouse management systems and inventory software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to TBD] lbs).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
