AP/AR Clerk

An established corporate legal service company, located near Gwinnett Place Mall, is seeking an AP/AR Clerk. We are looking for a candidate who is interested in long-term career growth. Candidate will be an important member of the accounting team. They will interact closely with customers via telephone; accounting and administrative data entry. The expectation is to provide excellent customer service, effective communication, be dependable and maintain confidentiality. The AP/AR clerk is expected to perform the duties and responsibilities with a high level of accuracy. The hours for this position are 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES will include, but not limited to:

• Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
• Pays invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling, preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment.
• Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information, computing charges, and refunds, and preparing and mailing invoices.
• Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts and notifying customers of insufficient payments.
• Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
• Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation.
• Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
• Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior AP/AR experience in an office setting
• Stable work history
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel
• Accurate data entry abilities and attentiveness to details
• Must work well with deadlines
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks with great organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and inter-departmentally while managing multiple projects and deadlines
• The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, self-starter and demonstrate the ability to work with a sense of urgency
