Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Possess strong diagnostic skills and ability to interpret failure codes and determine repairs needed
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including semi, refuse and trailers.
  • Inspecting vehicle systems, including hydraulics, suspensions, steering, electrical, brakes and exhausts
  • Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines and other associated parts
  • Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance
  • Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment and brake checks
  • Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles
  • Must be able to travel nation wide - per diems provided
  • Complete any other projects are tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years direct experience with Class 7 and 8
  • Must have own tools to complete jobs assigned
  • Must have a valid driver's license, CDL is a plus
  • Mechanical aptitude and technical ability is a must
  • Must have communication skills, and professional appearance and conduct
