Qualifications

• The perfect candidate must have experience completing the entire accounting process on a monthly basis

• Moreover, the candidate must have demonstrated experience using both QuickBooks Online, Quickbooks Desktop, ADP RUN, and Microsoft Office

• Has background in Public Accounting with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

• Professional experience working with confidential and sensitive information

• Ability to prioritize daily tasks and meet timely obligations with many clients

• Knowledge of accounting processes and advanced mathematical skills

• Skilled using various accounting software and experience in troubleshooting common accounting program problems

• Personal integrity when working with personal and sensitive financial information

• Strongly detail-oriented with a heavy focus on maintaining accuracy and integrity of accounts

• Ability to multitask across different types of accounting-related projects

• Excellent analytical and communications skills (verbal and written)

• Able to work both independently and collaboratively with a team and suggest improvements to various processes

• Accounting: 3+ years

 

Responsibilities

• Primary job duties will involve recording routine business transactions, preparing standard financial statements, payroll processing and account reconciliations

• Responsible for the month end closing process ensuring journal entries/adjustments are completed to achieve accurate financial reporting

• Prepare timely and adequately supported schedules/reconciliations for general ledger accounts

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

• Gather and summarize financial data for upper management and clients for important decision making

• Perform client onboarding tasks

• Other projects as necessary

• 1099’s and special projects as required

• Prepare various reports on behalf of clients

• Aid accounting staff and department with day-to-day accounting duties
