Accounting Specialist- Full-Time

Sisters of the Holy Cross, Inc., located on the beautiful Saint Mary’s College campus in Notre Dame, IN has a full-time non-exempt hourly Accounting Specialist position open.

The Accounting Specialist position will support our month end close process as well as be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information.

Responsible for cash management, monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and support for year-end audit.

Maintains Congregation property files and supports the Capital Review Advisory Committee.

Administers recordkeeping related to Sisters’ patrimony and maintenance of the Sisters’ Earnings database.

Backup for Accounts Payable and Receiving.

Seeking applicants with the following:

  • Strong excel experience.
  • Must be able to communicate and discuss financial concepts with a group of highly diverse individuals varying in age, financial acumen, and language levels.
  • Desire to learn multiple systems and to develop new skills.
  • Two years accounting experience required.
  • Associates degree in Accounting or Business required, Bachelor's degree preferred. Accounting and computer application training required.

Position is full-time, hourly/non-exempt. Compensation depends on experience.
