Payroll Generalist

Established relocation company headquartered in Lorton, VA seeks conscientious Payroll Generalist to process payroll and perform general HR functions. If you are a highly organized who is willing to assist other team members, then this is the job for you Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Collects time records submitted via various means and accurately enters the data into the payroll processing system within established deadlines

· Calculates payroll adjustments, processes bi-weekly payrolls, and maintains various payroll records for reporting and compliance purposes

· Produces and audits employment files and payroll records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance

· Researches and responds to various payroll-related inquiries

· Compiles and distributes various employee, payroll, insurance, and/or tax-related reports on a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and/or annual basis

· Upholds and enforces company standards and procedures

· Exercises a high degree of confidentiality while maintaining various employment records and other sensitive information for the company

 

REQUIREMENTS:

· 2+ years experience with payroll entries, calculations, and submissions for exempt and non-exempt employees

· Proficiency using QuickBooks Pro & PayCom

· Possess a high level of discretion necessary for handling sensitive situations and confidential information

· Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations

· A keen attention to detail along with exceptional organizational skills

· Exceptional problem-solving abilities and investigative skills

· Ability to work quickly without sacrificing work quality

· Excellent time management skills to meet established deadlines

· Strong verbal and written English communication skills

· Demonstrated progression of responsibilities in prior positions held
